Hitachi Rail is seeking a highly skilled O&M Rail Safety Manager to join our team in Pearl City, HI. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our rail systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the updating and continuous improvement of Safety Management System Programs and Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP) in accordance with State Safety Oversight Agency (SSOA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) requirements.
- Provide technical supervision on safety issues of rail-related projects.
- Lead accident investigation teams and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain and coordinate emergency preparedness standards for Operations and Maintenance.
- Develop and review safety and hazard analyses of Rail Operations and Maintenance.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8-10 years progressively responsible related experience in rail operations safety, including three (3) years supervision experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications (verbal and written) skills.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization and with third-party contractors.
