Safety and Compliance Manager Rail Operations

We are seeking an experienced Safety and Compliance Manager Rail Operations to join our team at Hitachi Rail. As a key member of our safety department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our rail operations comply with all relevant regulations and standards.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in rail operations safety and will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of safety management systems and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops and implements safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Liaises with internal stakeholders to ensure that safety policies and procedures are implemented effectively.
• Conducts regular audits to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 to 10 years progressively responsible related experience in rail operations safety to include three (3) years supervision experience.
• Thorough knowledge of Rail operations, Rail Vehicles and associated Rail systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications (verbal and written) skills.
