Summary of the position :
The Global Advanced Technology Engineer position is responsible for developing core-technologies for air compressor products and new business with HGAP related department, HGAP Engineering and Hitachi R&D teams. Core-technologies mean compressor air-ends, new drive technologies, and new businesses related to air power. This position will focus on collaborating with all sites' engineers, researchers, and related staff to build advanced technology for current and future businesses.
Duties and responsibilities :
- Develop advanced technologies for air-ends, drive and support new businesses related to air power.
- Drives mechanical-related preferred cost efforts to launch new technologies.
- Collaborates with internal Engineering as well as 3rd party and academia to meet customer requirements.
- Participates in in-person meetings to lead the issues as needed.
- Evaluates mechanical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research to drive incremental improvements in existing and future products by applying knowledge of mechanical and Computer Aid Engineering.
- Provide support to customers and dealers from time to time with air-end and drive technology knowledge.
- Provide production start-up and production transfer support to components with complex engineering knowledge, depending on the business context.
- Troubleshoots integrated systems and programs analytical equipment as required.
