Job Title: Quality Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team at Hitemco LLC, a Lincotek Group Company.
About the Role:
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all quality systems are in place and functioning effectively. This includes process qualifications, nonconformance management, continuous improvement, and implementation of best practices such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Develop and implement quality plans, procedures, and work instructions in accordance with ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP, and customer requirements.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and develop corrective actions to address these issues.
- Lead product and process quality expert for customers and internal organization, providing technical support and guidance on quality-related matters.
- Manage source inspections, coordinate with customers and internal organization, and ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Perform dimensional, visual, and non-destructive testing of components and assemblies to ensure fabrication and equipment meet engineering, industry standards, and customer-approved documents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and verify their effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
In addition to the above-mentioned responsibilities, the Quality Engineer will also be responsible for:
- Revising and maintaining quality procedures, quality plans, documents, and work instructions.
- Participating in product development to ensure all quality issues are addressed.
- Implementing and maintaining the company's Quality Management System.
- Performing audits and surveys to ensure compliance with management systems, industry standards, and customer requirements.
- Developing reports based on inspection and audit results.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, the Quality Engineer must have:
- A bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with quality systems, including ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP, and GE S1000.
- Certification as an ASNT Level III Fluorescent Penetrant Inspector is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with audits (internal/external), detail-oriented approach, and interest in manufacturing environment.
