Commercial Construction Project Executive - Healthcare & Life Sciences
The Project Executive role is a key position that effectively manages our Healthcare and Life Sciences portfolio, overseeing both small and large-scale projects from discovery and design to development and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Maintains adherence to HITT's standards of safety.
- Ensures all job processes are followed in accordance with HITT policies.
- Negotiates terms and conditions of contracts with clients.
- Monitors the progress of each project through updated schedules.
- Ensures the project Quality Control Plan is followed.
- Assists project staff in resolving scope problems with subcontractors.
- Ensures proper assignment and evaluation of field personnel within the project team and throughout the company.
- Identifies and negotiates time extensions where justified and allowed.
- Acquires new work as well as maintains existing clients.
- Maintains positive relationships with the subcontractor community.
- Ensures timely completion of closeout process.
- Leads the preconstruction and RFP package effort with the help of the Preconstruction Department and/or other company resources.
- Delegates responsibility when necessary to ensure the project/tasks run smoothly.
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
- Prior healthcare construction project experience required.
- A four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
- In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable.
- Previous experience in a project management role with the ability to execute multiple projects and/or simultaneously.
- Ability to master sector/project-specific software systems, including Microsoft Office suite and ProCore.
- Mastery of reading construction drawings and task execution.
- Ability to organize necessary resources to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results.
- Knowledge of current market conditions, including pricing conventions and trends.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to carry oneself as a leader, facilitate decision-making, communicate complex information clearly, and take initiative.
- Demonstrates integrity consistent with The HITT Way and HITT's core values.
- Sustain existing client relationships and develop new client relationships.
- Understand what tasks are more important than others; discern what needs to be solved immediately and what can wait; ability to multi-task effectively.
