Job Summary:
The Assistant Property Manager plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the property and ensuring a high level of resident satisfaction. This position assists with leasing, collections, resident relations, administrative duties, and overall support to the Property Manager to help the community run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in overseeing daily property operations and office functions
Greet and build positive relationships with current and prospective residents
Conduct tours, lease apartments, and follow up with leads to ensure maximum occupancy
Help manage lease renewals and rent collections
Process move-ins, move-outs, notices, and work orders
Respond to resident questions, concerns, and maintenance requests professionally and promptly
Maintain accurate resident files and property records in accordance with company policies
Help manage vendor coordination and monitor property curb appeal
Support Property Manager in preparing reports, budgets, and audits
Qualifications:
1 year of property management or leasing experience preferred
Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, AppFolio, or similar preferred)
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing practices
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
