Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):
- Support hourly and salaried Team Members through direct contact and timely and effective responses to needs and issues
- Coordinate with Team Member Relations and HR on other shifts
- Serve as key interface between Team Members and Management by resolving issues, answering questions while being strong “direct relationship" advocate
- Coach coordinators, supervisors and managers in the areas of conflict resolution, corrective action, investigations and other related issues
- Streamlining and standardizing H.R. policies, practices and processes, and help develop the H.R. organization to be more effective in managing human capital
- Assist Team Members with general questions and issues in the areas of recruitment, benefits, payroll and training
- Assist in the development and execution of HR policies and procedures.
- Review and approve Team Member corrective actions, such as written warnings, suspensions, or terminations.
- Coordinate the details of Team Member complaints.
- Develop methods to monitor Team Member satisfaction with policies or working conditions, including complaint procedures.
- Research case law or outcomes of previous case hearings.
- Train managers or supervisors on topics related to labor relations, such as working conditions, safety, or equal opportunity practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Business or related field
- 3-5 years of Human Resources experience in Team Member Relations
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedules in coordination with the other HR Generalist to ensure coverage is met on all three shifts
- Ability to work autonomously under minimal supervision
- Knowledge of Microsoft office products, must have the ability to use Excel, Word and Power Point efficiently.
