Senior Manager: Retail Marketing

Supporting: Global Sell-Thru, Retail Marketing, Education & Events

Responsibilities:

  • Retailer Support:
    • Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Finance, Marketing) to set up new retailers and collect necessary documents.
    • Manage retailer portals, submit SKUs for launches/updates, and follow up on SKU setups.
    • Coordinate with the Operations Coordinator on new product forms and launch requirements.
    • Distribute marketing-approved assets to retailers, complete retailer copy forms, and obtain translations for ROW retailers.
    • Oversee marketing launch timelines globally.
    • Work with the Director of Sell-In to present NPD to retailers, secure timing, and ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Manage page and asset due dates, app previews, and all at-launch deliverables for retailers and dotcom updates.
    • Oversee sample programs, strategy, and budget.
  • Sample Management:
    • Maintain the retailer sample tracker and collaborate with Operations on timelines and deliverables.
    • Manage retailer sample portals, enter requests, and provide updates.
    • Secure activations and animations with retailers, communicate cross-functionally, and track success.
    • Maintain relationships with merchants to maximize retailer support and optimize brand participation and visibility.
    • Manage the Commercial Calendar for all retailers and communicate key dates to teams.
    • Oversee Conscious Beauty programming at Ulta.
  • Visual Merchandising and Trade Marketing:
    • Oversee VM updates from kickoff to execution.
    • Communicate timelines to internal teams, retail partners, and VM vendors.
    • Complete retailer and vendor forms and assortments for VM updates.
    • Work closely with Creative to ensure deliverables are briefed, completed, and on track via Asana.
    • Handle assortments, renderings, and deliverables for each update.
    • Manage communication, artwork proofing, translations, and hand-offs between the marketing team, graphic designers, third-party vendors, and VM vendors.
    • Collaborate with the CEO, CMO, and Marketing team to execute VM strategy.
  • Retailer Education (EDU):
    • Implement and organize the freelance field team, including training, scheduling, communication, and ROI balancing.
    • Optimize EDU trainings and programs with retailer merchants.
    • Manage retailer EDU gratis programs and budget.
    • Analyze weekly sales reports to schedule field team visits, set sales goals, and plan trainings, sampling, and gratis.
  • Events:
    • Oversee retailer event ideation, production, execution, and budgets (FSC, Event in a Box, ULTA FLC).
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Manage the Netsuite tracker for the Commercial team and all sends.
    • Update approved due dates and key timelines within internal calendars.
    • Ensure deadlines are managed and on track with internal teams.
    • Take meeting notes for retailer and internal meetings, circulate agendas, and manage review generation and weekly recaps for Owner.
    • Work with Operations to manage product availability and delivery.

  • Language Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as e-mail communication, instant message communications, legal documents, license agreements, contracts, invoices, news articles, technical manuals, budgets, ledgers, purchase orders, financial, marketing, Inventory, shipping, and various reports. Ability to effectively present information, provide instructions and thoroughly answer questions in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization in English.
