Job Description:
We are looking to add an HR Generalist to join our Talent & Culture team in Waukee, IA, Dallas, TX or Minneapolis, MN. This role would be partnering closely with Business Partners to provide service to our clients in areas ranging from talent acquisition and onboarding to employee engagement, employee relations, employee changes, profit planning, job descriptions, terminations, exit interviews and other projects. Essential Responsibilities:
- With some guidance, support Talent & Culture Business Partners in day-to-day responsibilities and project work, which may include responding to inquiries, drafting documentation and messaging, and ad-hoc reporting.
- Owns processing of employee changes, including annual and off-cycle changes, update profit plan tracker, and ensure any payroll or bonus payments are properly communicated.
- With some guidance, consult with managers regarding line of business needs including employee and team needs, best practices, and interpretations of policies and procedures.
- Partner with Talent & Culture expertise and subject matter experts (i.e. Talent Acquisition, Engagement Consultant and Compensation) for any specific business unit talent needs, situations, and solutions.
- With some support from Business Partner, consult with Talent Acquisitions team on recruiting needs, which may include developing job descriptions, seeking approval for backfills, gathering compensation/market data from Compensation Team, and approving offers per profit plan. Elevate Talent Acquisition themes, approvals to Business Partner, as needed.
- Assist Business Partner with all exit interviews and termination processing; including gathering information, drafting meeting talking points, and separation agreements, as needed. May include facilitation of less complex involuntary terminations, with guidance from Business Partner.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma; college degree in Human Resources or Business-related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years general HR experience required.
- Skills: Possess comprehensive knowledge of HR standards, practices, policies, and relevant regulations, including government laws. Strong understanding of human resource compliance issues, such as ADA, FMLA, sexual harassment, discrimination, and EEOC guidelines, as well as other applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Technical Competencies: Strong investment in the development of human capital knowledge, staying abreast of changing and emerging trends and applying relevant principles and practices in their daily responsibilities. Excel in relationship management by actively fostering connections, prioritizing problem-solving, and collaborating to deliver impactful solutions. Additionally, possess critical thinking skills, enabling them to analyze, interpret, and evaluate information from multiple sources, make connections between ideas, and craft and execute innovative solutions to complex challenges.
