Position Description
- Manage and assist in hiring, training, and mentoring the detailing team within the region.
- Oversee project schedules to ensure timely submission of drawings.
- Oversee the detailing of projects for accuracy and conformance to standards.
- Produce 3D model, shop drawings, assembly drawings, and erection drawings.
- Analyze and select appropriate steel member connections for projects
- Submit requests for information (RFIs) to customers
- Provide final checks of drawings to ensure compliance with contract documents
- Reports to Technical Services Director
Position Requirements
- 10 years of steel detailing and managing people required.
- Proven ability to lead a project team and oversight required.
- Strong computer skills required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills required.
- Exceptional time management and prioritization skills required.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment required
- Associate degree in drafting or similar education
- Experience with Tekla and/or 3D modeling software.
- Knowledge of current building codes and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and contract specifications.
- Must be able to successfully complete all post-offer and pre-employment contingencies
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
