General Summary:
The Building Maintenance person performs general maintenance work to ensure HMG maintenance quality standards are achieved and maintained.
Main Responsibilities:
- Completes minor repair work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc, to maintain all of HMG properties
- Assists in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems and makes minor repairs/replacements
- Assists in checking and makes minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipe lines, toilets and sinks, and kitchen equipment
- Responds quickly to work orders. Follows up to ensure requestor satisfaction
- Performs weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual state and local inspection of Life Safety
- Knowledge of NFPA, State and Local codes pertaining to Life Safety
- Always provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress
- Follows company policies and procedures
Education/Experience/Knowledge:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of two years experience to include working in building operation
- General knowledge of machines and maintenance and repair using basic hand and power tools
- Will be required to work in fast paced environment
- Must display a high level of confidentiality
- Must maintain an organized work area
- Verbal and written communication skills are necessary
- Must be able to work overtime and take after hour calls
