The Pharmacy Technician provides technical support for the requested pharmacist in order to provide the pharmacist with sufficient time to focus on required functions. Responsibilities include the filling of orders and maintenance of appropriate supply levels in filling areas.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
1. High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
1. Hospital experience with knowledge of unit dose dispensing and IV additive mixtures.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
1. Valid NJ Pharmacy Technician Registration or obtain within 180 days of hire.
Working Conditions:
Lifts a minimum of 5lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 5 lbs., and stands for a minimum of 4 hours a day.
