GENERAL POSITION OVERVIEW
HMM is seeking a detail-oriented Inbound Document Coordinator to be responsible of the re-manifest and submission of US inbound vessel services. Also responsible for all diversions and changes in container movements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Reply to all incoming emails. Either resolving the customer request or placing in contact with the correct PIC.
- Coordinate with LGL Truck & Rail for containers pending diversion.
- Coordinate with Customer and Local Equipment for OCP approval.
- Monitor and answer incoming Live Chats.
- Complete or Reject diversion requests based on operational feasibility.
- Respond to all general inquiries regarding arrival notice, manifest issues, Inbound status, 310EDI, vessel arrival transmission, EDA.
- Monitor specific disposition codes and resolve (errors, rejections, 6H, 2Z, 1O, 1N).
- Retransmit all BLs with C/A prior to vessel arrival.
- Work with Origin to update all BLs in case of POD terminal changes.
- Send arrival notices.
- Maintain Customer contact data base.
- Resolve any manifest rejections.
- Ensure GDC completion of asked functions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
- General understanding of the transportation shipping industry.
- Work effectively under limited supervision and prioritize workload.
- Have exceptional computer skills and knowledge of MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Able to multitask and handle information accurately and professionally.
- Excellent phone/email etiquette.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred but not required.
- Prior clerical and customer service experience required.

The pay range listed for this position is the anticipated starting salary or wage range, and the final offered rate will be based on individual merit and the relative compensation of employees in similar positions.
