The pay range listed for this position is the anticipated starting salary or wage range, and the final offered rate will be based on individual merit and the relative compensation of employees in similar positions. Key Responsibilities
- Terminal Operations Management: Oversee daily operations at container terminals across North and South America, ensuring efficiency and compliance
- Vendor Payment Processing: Collaborate with internal finance teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices
- Communication & Coordination: Facilitate clear and timely communication between internal and external teams
- Performance Analysis & Optimization: Analyze operational data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective action
- Contract & Communication Management: Maintain accurate records of vendor agreements, communications, and updates
- Standard Operating Procedure Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient and standardized operating procedures
- Vendor Relationship Management: Communicate effectively with terminal vendors regarding inquiries, negotiations, and contract details
- Customer Service & Issue Resolution: Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and operational issues
- Time Management & Prioritization: Effectively manage workload and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals and objectives
- Education: Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Finance, or a related field preferred. Or the equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience: Minimum two years of experience in Terminal Operations or a related field. 3 years of industry experience is preferred.
- Essential Skills:
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Language: Bilingual in Spanish / English preferred
- Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to present information in an easily understandable manner.
