Summary
Job Title: HR Generalist
Location: Winnebago, NE
SUMMARY
You will provide comprehensive Human Resources support for assigned clients and must build effective relationships with the leaders, managers and employees to influence and support HR initiatives. You will perform responsibilities in the following areas, including new hire on-boarding, off-boarding, employee relations, training, performance management, policy implementatio and employment law compliance. As a member of the HR Team, you will serve on the HR front lines to support the business. You will be actively involved with assisting and supporting the management team to build organizational bench strength and demonstrate best practices in Human Resources.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize and lead New Employee On-boarding for the Winnebago and Sioux City locations.
- Provide full range of Human Resources advice, support, consultation and guidance, including application of HR policies and processes, to assigned departments and employees
- Demonstrate a commitment to customer service by ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries and requests from employees
- Provides support to the recruiting department by reviewing applications to evaluate job fit. conducting pre-screening interviews and maintains all pertinent applicant and interview data in the database.
- Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using the Ceridian HRIS system.
- Hire employees and process hiring-related paperwork.
- Reviews documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in regard to sensitive materials that incumbent may come across.
- Collects data and analyzes reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals.
- Prepares reports and other related documents for the Department of Labor and other federal and states agencies as required on an annual or ad hoc basis.
- Prepares and administers department audits as directed (I-9’s, employee files, etc.).
- Conduct exit interviews and ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed.
- Follows up with Hiring Managers and employees at the 30-, 45-, and 180-day period to ensure the processes are being followed and new hires feel supported.
- Communicates with employees or applicants regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Provide support during the Performance Management process (i.e. helping to coordinate kickoff, scheduling trainings, tracking status, providing support to employees at all levels, etc.)
- Maintains strict confidentiality with sensitive materials.
- Utilizes the HRIS software program to maintain appropriate up-to-date data on employee information and statistics.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge regarding employment laws and compliance. Researches state laws in other parts of the country.
- All other job duties and special projects as assigned by immediate supervisor.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Thorough knowledge of laws affecting human resources administration.
- Basic understanding of the Ceridian HRIS system.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office products
- Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of management, both local and long distance.
- Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and written.
- Maintains a valid driver’s license and be insurable under company insurance provider/program.
- Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university preferred or equivalent combination of education or experience.
- Two or more years of related experience in the Human Resource position required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position does not have supervisory responsibility.
