The HR Generalist role is a
true generalist role with a heavy emphasis on talent acquisition including
sourcing, interviewing, and selection. In addition, this role will also work with the leadership at the
campus to influence retention through a focus on team member experience and
culture. The ideal candidate for this
role will enjoy working with front-line team members and leadership to help the
organization reach its people and operations goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide a full range of
Human Resources advice, support, consultation and guidance, including the application
of HR policies and processes, to assigned departments and employees
- Demonstrate a commitment to
customer service by ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries and
requests from employees
- Develop and execute
recruiting strategies for the site. Conduct recruitment efforts including job
postings, sourcing resumes, prescreening applicants, interviewing candidates,
managing the selection process, and creating a great onboarding process for new
employees for The Meadows and other Nye locations
- Foster employee retention
and engagement through leading employee engagement and recognition programs
including round tables, engagement survey, action plan implementation, and
communication tools
- Promote a positive work
environment by partnering with leaders and employees to live out the Mission,
Vision, and Values of Nye Health Services
- Lead the identification and
capture of social media content that emphasizes and promotes the team and resident-focused
environment of The Meadows
- Maintain ongoing compliance
with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Navigate and assist in the
resolution of employee issues; leading employee relations initiatives and
investigations to ensure a positive and fair work environment
- Implement and manage
various HR initiatives (i.e., annual performance review process, benefits open
enrollment, new programs/policies, etc.)
- Aid in completion of
company-wide annual compliance reporting requirements such as EEOC, OSHA, and
others
- Assist with routine bi-weekly
payroll processing for The Meadows and other sites as assigned within the Nye organization
- Ensure proper maintenance
of confidential employee information
- Provide information and
tools to support the effective delivery of HR services and processes, including
HR-related systems
Education, Skills & Experience
- Associate’s degree,
preferably in business administration or HR, or equivalent experience
- Prior Human Resource experience
preferred but not required
- Knowledge of federal and
state employment laws, and labor relations and regulations including ERISA,
EEOC and DOL preferred
- Must have a
customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
- Ability to effectively
coach and influence others
- Must be self-motivated and
able to effectively work independently
- Ability to prioritize and
work well under pressure
- Must possess excellent oral
and written communication skills along with the ability to present and
facilitate
