Technical Project Manager (Remote Position)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Assistant Director of the IT PMO, the Technical Project Manager will play a critical role in delivering software applications and IT infrastructure for Texas's educational system. This role involves leading Agile software development teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure projects are delivered on time while meeting legislative and strategic priorities.

The ideal candidate has strong Agile project management experience, preferably in the education sector, and will oversee project staff while coordinating with various stakeholders to drive successful outcomes. This position requires initiative, independent judgment, and expertise in advanced project management work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Consistency (20%)
• Develop, implement, and evaluate project management processes to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Manage scope, schedule changes, project budgets, and plans to maintain efficiency.
• Ensure alignment with agency and legislative priorities.
• Deliverable Quality (20%)
• Monitor and measure software application quality to ensure deliverables align with project requirements.
• Identify and implement quality improvement measures.
• Ensure projects meet budget and contractual agreements.
