Summary
You are a highly motivated and detail-oriented Community Association Manager. As the manager, you will provide exceptional customer service and management functions to your clients, ensuring that they become promoters of our service. The portfolio will be in Prince George's County with a focus on the southern part of the county.
Duties
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Inspect grounds, facilities, and equipment routinely to determine the necessity of repairs or maintenance. Investigate complaints, disturbances, and violations and resolve problems following association rules and regulations.
- Maintain contact with insurance carriers, fire and police departments, and other agencies to ensure protection and compliance with codes and regulations.
- Meet with boards of directors and committees to discuss and resolve legal and environmental issues or disputes between neighbors. Most meetings are held via Zoom.
- Prepare detailed budgets for properties.
- Purchase building and maintenance supplies, equipment, or furniture.
- Solicit and analyze bids from contractors for repairs, renovations, and maintenance. Administer annual meetings/elections.
- Attend continuing education classes to maintain credentials and, where appropriate, seek higher credentials.
Requirements
Community Association Manager Job Requirements
- CMCA or higher designation
- Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation
- This is an exempt position; not hourly. Board meetings are billed to the association and are considered in the establishment of the base management fee, which is used to calculate CAM base pay.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable speaking in front of small to medium-sized groups
- Strong leadership qualities
- Working knowledge of financial reports, budgets
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and email
- First-in-class customer service skills
- Strong command of the English language
Physical Requirements
- Willingness and ability to sit in a seat for long periods, talk on the phone, and use a computer and other business equipment, which may require standing
- Ability to walk the property for site visits. Willingness and ability to take minimal risk to climb one-story ladders to roof hatches or to go into boiler and other equipment rooms
