Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
- Collect patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and care plans.
- Process patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
- Handle phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software and ensure compliance with ICD-10 coding standards.
- Assist with medical billing tasks, including verifying insurance eligibility and processing claims.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Perform general office duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining a clean reception area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Dentrix software is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical billing practices is essential.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Proficient in using computers and various office software applications.
