HOBO Inc.is the leader in custom chemical formulating, blending, and bulk chemical delivery to the commercial car wash industry. We have an excellent opportunity for a Shipping & Receiving position at our facility in Farmington, MN.
No relocation assistance is being offered for this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor may assign other duties.
- Loads and unloads vehicles as necessary.
- Receives and unloads incoming materials. Verifies accuracy of received materials by comparing the shipments freight bills and pick slips with the company’s purchase orders.
- Inspect shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
- Reviews orders, production schedules, and shipping/receiving notices to determine work sequence and material shipping dates, type, volume, and destinations.
- Perform pre-shipment quality checks on all outbound orders.
- Prepares shipping paperwork per DOT regulations. Contact the selected freight carrier for shipment pick-up.
- Prepare customer orders for shipment. Picks and pulls products for the order. Assembles truck shipments on to skids.
- Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received.
- Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items.
- Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents.
- May maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records.
- May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may operate shrink-wrap and banding machines; may operate company vehicle to deliver shipments; may assist in routine maintenance of equipment and shipping area; may lock warehouse and set alarms.
- Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
- Leads, guides, and trains employees performing related work.
- Must pass pre-employment physical & drug test.
