- Valid New Jsersey School Counselor Certification
- Experience in a vocational, trade or CTE setting
- Experience working with high school students in a counseling, advising, or career-coaching role
- Strong understanding of career development theory, college and career readiness frameworks, and workforce development practices
- Comfort using online platforms for career certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to coordinate large events and community partnerships
- Background in work-based learning coordination or internship management
- Facilitate, support, and coach cohorts of students enrolled in the online certifcation program.
- Provide one-on-one and group coaching to help students navigate content, set goals, and complete certifications.
- Monitor student progress and outcomes using the online platform dashboard and provide intervention as needed.
- Plan, coordinate, and host a wide range of career readiness events aligned to national career development standards and 21st century learning expectations.
- Examples include: Career Fairs, “Dress for Success” Workshops, Resume & Cover Letter Writing Sessions, Mock Interviews, and Guest Speaker Panels.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate career readiness into academic classrooms.
- Create, manage, and expand internship and externship opportunities for students in partnership with local businesses, nonprofits, municipal offices, and higher ed institutions.
- Oversee onboarding, evaluation, and tracking systems for all student placements.
- Serve as liaison between employers, students, and families to ensure meaningful and safe experiences.
