Description
To inspect incoming and outgoing material and components to ensure their compliance to specification. Duties are generally prioritized, allowing employee to perform independently, with intermittent close supervision, in conformance with written instructions, established schedules and pre-determined priorities. Problems not clearly defined by written directives or instructions are reviewed with supervisor to determine course of action.
· Perform Daily Audits on supporting jobs.
· Perform Final Disposition and Rework of Product culled from 100% Final Inspection.
· Perform Hand Rework or Sort on any CNC or Assembly product dispositioned from MRB.
· Perform Hand Rework or Sort on any Parts Culled from inspections at Assembly Welding.
· Perform In-Process and final Inspections using established procedures and methods. Document accurately and thoroughly.
· Utilize on a daily basis measuring equipment such as Micrometers, Calipers, Drop Indicators, Profile projectors, Tool Makers Measuring Microscope, Vision systems, Rockwell Hardness Tester, etc.
· Track and log scrap defects and report to Quality Supervisor Monthly.
· Communicate inspection results to Engineering and department leads in an orderly and timely manner.
· Train Inspectors and Operators on QC Department equipment and inspection procedures.
· Available to work Saturday on a rotational basis.
· Respectfully collaborates with peers while maintaining good attendance and punctuality.
· Maintain an organized, clean and safe work environment by following 6S standards.
· Properly follow all H&M procedures and policies.
· Use correct P.P.E per JHAs and Job Description.
· Participate in Continuous Improvement activities, including the Idea System.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
· Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
· High school Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; Ability to write simple correspondence.
· Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals in both English and metric.; Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
