Equine Student Employee - $12.00 per hour
Attention Equine Students! Hocking College is looking for candidates to work at the Equine Complex. This job includes overseeing all equine related facility maintenance and special horse handling skills. Candidates would be responsible for daily horse care as well as repairs and improvements of each facility. If interested, please complete your application today!
Qualifications :
- Must be a current actively enrolled student of Hocking College
- Prior experience in barn management and / or horse care (preferred)
- Good horsemanship skills
- Handling a variety of horses safely and with confidence, including leading, grooming, picking hooves, haltering horses
- Understanding of basic principles of horse care and handling techniques
- Ability to work well independently and under pressure
- Ability to work efficiently with coworkers and preform tasks as scheduled
- Assisting with holding for veterinary, dental, or farrier work as assigned
- Animal care
- Grounds / mowing
- Ability to lift over 50lbs
