What are the responsibilities and job description for the Afternoon Assistant Preschool Teacher position at Hockomock Young Men's Christian Association, Inc?
The Early Learning Center at the Bernon Family Branch, part of the Hockomock Area YMCA, is hiring an Afternoon Assistant Preschool Teacher. This position works 3-6 pm, Monday through Friday, and assists the teachers in organizing, supervising, and evaluating the Preschool Classroom.
Essential Functions:
- Assists teachers, as needed, with all aspects of the daily schedule
- Provides supervision and guidance to children, overseeing the welfare, health, and safety of the children
in the group - Is aware and follows all health policies, YMCA policies, and EEC regulations
- Communicates concerns to a Teacher or Lead Teacher in a timely manner
- Assists in maintaining a safe and healthy environment
- Participates and attends professional development, as required by EEC
- Communicates professionally with parents/caregivers
