At Hodell-Natco Industries (HNI), we specialize in supply chain management and vendor managed services and are growing our team. Work alongside seasoned sales professionals as an inside sales account manager of an existing book of business with an expectation to visit customers, mine new business and grow your account portfolio.
Be part of a high volume, fast paced environment where you will work independently to actively meet sales initiatives in cooperation with the sales, operations, purchasing and sourcing teams. Successful account managers are committed to exceptional customer service, proactive account management and sales, clear and frequent communication using system tools, while being proactive in an effort to create success for customers and HNI.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide an Exceptional Customer Experience
Provide an Exceptional Customer Experience by having and promoting a Customer First mentality
Build strong relationships with our Customer base to enhance trust at all levels of the Customers organization
Proactively seek Customer needs and translate/communicate them to our organization while coordinating the involvement of all needed company resources
Enter quotes and sales orders in expedient manner, to include follow-up in required timeframe
Expedite sales orders and work with purchasing and operations teams on inbound product requirements
Act as an advocate for our Customers strive to constantly improve their buying experience with HNI
Proactively utilize monthly inventory trending report to effectively manage inventory
Utilize SalesForce for all aspects of account management
Meet or exceed annual sales and margin goals for territory and branch
Demonstrate consultative-level knowledge of Hodell-Natco product/service offerings
Be willing to assist with warehouse and other support duties on behalf of the customers as opportunities arise.
Work constructively as a team member to advance our organization and help elsewhere in the organization when necessary or when asked.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Solid time management and organizational skills
- Commitment to detail, accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement
- Excellent verbal and written respectful communication skills
- Outstanding listening, problem solving and people skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with solid Excel skills
- Ability to learn, navigate and work with ERP/MRP systems SalesForce & P21 experience a plus
- Ability to analyze information, identify issues and seek assistance to resolve situations
- Ability to travel to existing and prospective customers places of business
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- HS Diploma/GED required, Associates or bachelors degree in a related field preferred - equivalent work experience considered
- Minimum of 3 year related work experience in a customer facing / support position
- Prior account management experience a plus
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with ability to use Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Industrial, manufacturing or distribution experience a plus
- HS Diploma or GED required, college degree preferred
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Superior time management skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Commitment to a drug free workplace - includes screening for THC & participation in random testing program
- Clear 7-year criminal history
- Prolonged periods sitting at desk and working on computer; using a phone
- Manual dexterity with the ability to learn to read specification documents
- Office setting with exposure to a warehouse environment
- Ability to occasionally lift 25-50 lb boxed materials
- Occasional travel to customer locations in personal vehicle - Valid drivers license, clean driving record, personal vehicle with insurance coverage
Work Location: In-office position. Valley View, Ohio
Job Type: Full-time; Salary commensurate with experience plus incentive.
