BOATYARD MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT - FULL TIME (SOUTHPORT)
Do you enjoy hands-on work and keeping things running smoothly? We are looking for a dependable Boatyard Maintenance Assistant to help maintain our facilities, equipment, and grounds. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in an active, outdoor environment and takes pride in keeping a workspace clean, safe, and efficient.
Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and repairs on boatyard buildings, docks, and equipment
Assist in the upkeep of travel lifts, forklifts, trailers, and other heavy machinery
Conduct basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, storage spaces, and common areas
Assist with pressure washing, painting, and other yard maintenance tasks
Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Qualifications:
Previous maintenance or general labor experience (boatyard or marina experience is a plus)
Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
Ability to operate hand and power tools safely
Comfortable with physical labor, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
