Position Description: As a key member of the leadership team, the Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the marketing strategies for the Hoekstra Companies. The goal of this position is driving brand awareness, generating leads, and increasing sales by analyzing data and optimizing campaigns to achieve marketing objectives. This role will work closely with our Marketing Coordinators as well as company leadership, divisional sales managers, outside marketing firms, and external vendors to execute campaigns, manage projects, and coordinate marketing strategies that align with our business objectives. The Director of Marketing role requires strong analytical skills, project management abilities, and a deep understanding of digital marketing trends and best practices.
Essential Functions
- Develop the marketing plans and budgets for each of the Hoekstra Companies.
- Work with division heads to gather information, assess needs, and to develop strategies and campaigns that reach existing customers and attract new customers.
- Identify marketing partners, maintain the ongoing relationship, ensuring marketing objectives are being met and budgets are being observed.
- Develop, monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPI’s) to measure campaign effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
- Develop engaging content strategies for various platforms, including website copy, blog posts, social media updates, and email newsletters.
- Manage the websites of each company, including design, functionality, and user experience to drive lead generation and engagement.
- Oversee the technology resources utilized by the Hoekstra Companies, including Salesforce, Sharp Spring, as well as identifying new technologies that could improve management and tracking of the sales process and lead generation.
- Develop and execute on social media strategies for all companies with the goal of engaging with the target audience, building brand awareness, and driving traffic.
- Implement search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to improve website ranking in search results.
- Lead and mentor the marketing team.
- Work closely with the company’s vendors and manufacturer representatives for traditional media, graphic design, promotional products, and digital marketing.
- Update printed brochures and handouts to support Parts, Service and Sales departments.
- Supply outside marketing partners with manufacturer co-op information and branding information.
