Position Title: Associate Attorney
The Hoffee Law Firm is seeking interested candidates for an Associate Attorney position with the firm. The position is intended to be entry level, so candidates with between zero and five years of experience as attorneys are preferred. Interested lateral transfers are invited to contact the firm for further inquiry. All applicants must possess a juris doctor and be in good standing to practice in the State of Ohio or anticipate admission to practice in 2024.
HLF is a small, general-practice firm in Wooster, Ohio, practicing primarily in Wayne, Holmes, Medina, and Ashland Counties. HLF has a lengthy history as a family law firm in the region, representing parents and children in domestic relations and juvenile court matters for years. Though the firm’s primary book of business is family law related, attorneys are encouraged to expand or specialize in other practice areas if desired. Currently, the firm accepts clients in the areas of family law, estate planning, and criminal law, but further areas of practice are of interest.
Chosen applicants will receive training appropriate to the applicant’s prior experience. Recent graduates are given direct guidance from firm attorneys, including in generalized topics such as legal drafting and trial preparation. All attorneys are welcomed into the firm’s collaborative environment where attorneys can balance autonomy of practice with resource and idea sharing. The firm employs administrative assistants to assist attorneys with drafting and clerical duties. Attorney salaries are a combination of a base salary with consistent bonuses based on a portion of earned fees and consultation fees.
