Position Summary
The Cryogenic Sales & Service Representative-in-Training is an entry level position with the primary goal of training to be a Cryogenic Sales and Service Representative. Upon completion of the initial training the individual must perform the basic duties of a Cryogenic Sales & Service Representative with no more than intermittent assistance from more senior Cryogenic Sales & Service Representatives and/or Cryogenic Sales & Service Manager.
Responsibilities
Sales & Marketing Goals
- Learn to produce quotation for cryogenic metering systems, parts and field service in response to customer inquiries.
- Learn to process new cryogenic product sales orders for entry into production.
- Report quality related customer issues on cryogenic products to the Cryogenic Sales & Service Manager.
- Report competitive information including competitor pricing and product offerings provided by customers to the Cryogenic Sales & Service Manager.
- Become familiar with features and benefits of all cryogenic related product offerings from Hoffer Flow Controls.
Field Service
- Travel to customer locations to perform field service and equipment calibration is a regular part of the Cryogenic Sales and Service Representative’s regular duties. The Cryogenic Sales and Service Representative-in-Training must be willing and able to travel to multiple customer sites during the training period in the company of a senior Cryogenic Sales and Service Representative and/or the Cryogenic Sales and Service Manager to gain direct field training to perform these duties.
- Travel for such service work after completion of the training and certification by the Cryogenic Sales and Service Manager of the employee’s abilities to independently perform the work will be a critical milestone to becoming a Cryogenic Sales and Service Representative.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct the work in accordance with established Hoffer standards for quality and integrity.
- The ability to travel 20% to 30% of the time domestically or internationally is a requirement for the position during both the training and post-training periods.
Authority Level
- Prepare quotations under adequate supervision by senior cryogenic sales and service staff.
- Conduct all calibration related work in accordance with Hoffer standards for quality.
Qualifications
- Mechanical and/or electronics aptitude strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite software
- Capability to effectively work in a team-oriented work culture
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- High energy level, high standards of excellence, high integrity and work ethic.
- Must be in sound physical condition and able to lift 75 pounds unaided.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
- Must hold or be able to obtain a US passport.
Basis of Evaluation
- Demonstrated progress towards achieving the training goals above at or before the end of the initial 90-days in this position.
- Successful completion of the initial training phase within approximately 12-months of initial employment in this position.
- Certification by the Cryogenic Sales and Service Manager of the employee to work independently as a cryogenic field service technician at least domestically within 18-months of initial employment in this position.
