Job Summary
The Laundry and Rental Manager is responsible for overseeing day- to -day operations of the laundry facility, and company rental items, Including managing the cleaning and rental of linens & towels, ironing and organizing linen room, ensuring rental deliveries are loaded and delivered in a timely manner, ensuring rental items are returned in proper quantities and free of damage, while ensuring quality standards are met, staff is properly trained and inventory levels are maintained.
Duties
- Manage the overall operations of rental properties, ensuring cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Manage the entire laundry process, from receiving soiled items to distributing clean ones, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and ironing.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Manage rental process, including issuing and receiving rental items, recording customer details, and handling lost or damaged items.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery and pick up of rental items
- Implement training programs for staff on best practices in hospitality and commercial cleaning.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance their experience.
- Develop schedules for housekeeping staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering as necessary.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective leadership and communication.
Requirements
- Strong background in housekeeping management, with knowledge of custodial practices.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks.
- Ability to maintain a clean and orderly environment while adhering to safety protocols.
