Estimator – Landscape Design / Build
Compensation: $80,000 to $95,000 (based on related work experience)
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Hoffman Landscapes, a leading landscape design, construction and property care firm located in Southwestern Connecticut, is looking to add a member to its national award-winning, creative team.

Responsibilities
You will work directly with the Landscape Design Build team and be responsible for compiling comprehensive budgets for landscape enhancements, including:
- Swimming pools
- Patios
- Pavilions
- Outdoor kitchens
- Walls
- Walkways
- Plantings
- Lighting
- Irrigation
Candidates must be self-motivated, personally accountable, solution orientated, strong communicators.
Responsibilities Include
- Review documentation in order to gain an understanding of the prospective project and its requirements
- Develop accurate take-offs from project plans and site visits
- Work with quality vendors and subcontractors to; establish and enhance relationships; obtain quotes for project specific materials and services; negotiate best pricing for the company
- Provide cost efficient alternatives as appropriate
- Clearly communicate throughout the Design Build team regarding specifics of each estimate prior to and during the build
- Perform budget vs actual analytics during and subsequent to each project
- Work with management to enhance the accuracy of the estimating software
- 2 years experience in estimating, preferably landscape designs
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Learn and utilize company specific software systems
- Strong organizational skills and work ethic
- Ability to communicate exceptionally, multi-task, and work within strict deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in a Landscape or Construction program
- Proficency in industry specific estimating software
- Experience with AutoCad
- Previous experience with high-end residential landscape construction
