Landscape Maintenance Crew Member / Foreman
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $24.00 hour depending on experience
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Kent Greenhouse, a division of Hoffman Landscapes, serves residential customers located in Litchfield County, CT and Westchester County, NY. We are hiring Landscape Crew Members and Foremen for the upcoming season.
You will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of outdoor spaces, including mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, planting flowers, and fertilizing plants.
Crew members are also expected to provide job site cleanup as part of daily activities. Crew Leaders will oversee small teams of staff performing the below responsibilities but should be prepared to work alongside crews as needed.
- Mowing, edging, and fertilizing lawns and other routine landscape duties
- Trim and prune trees, shrubs, and hedges to ensure a neat appearance.
- Plant flowers, trees, and other plants according to landscape designs, and mulching as needed.
- Monitor/maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants.
- Remove weeds and unwanted plants to maintain the health and appearance of landscapes.
- Assist in landscape construction projects as needed.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or a related field.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, line trimmers, hedge trimmers and blowers.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions, as well as potentially irregular hours
