Seeking professional Construction Project Manager (Compensation competitive and based on experience)

Are you an experienced construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment? We’re seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our Construction Management team. This role will focus on managing budgets, schedules, and communications throughout all phases of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage communications among all project stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners
  • Coordinate project meetings, including agendas and meeting minutes
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with client goals and company profitability
  • Prepare front-end project specifications for all bid categories
  • Lead subcontractor bidding, qualification, and negotiations
  • Issue construction-related documents including specifications, subcontracts, and purchase orders
  • Oversee project accounting, invoicing, subcontractor payments, and financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with risk management protocols, including insurance and bonding requirements
  • Develop and manage project schedules and timelines in coordination with Field Project Managers
  • Lead project close-out activities and evaluate profitability
  • Support client satisfaction efforts, including obtaining recommendations and feedback
  • May manage multiple projects simultaneously

Secondary Duties

  • Partner with Field Project Managers to support on-site safety
  • Assist design staff in selecting building materials, systems, and construction methods
  • Coordinate bidder lists and document distribution
  • Support business development by maintaining client relationships post-project

Supervisory Duties

  • Assist with orientation and training of new employees
  • Support Project Administrators in resolving client and vendor concerns

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in construction project management (project values between $5M–$20M)
  • Deep knowledge of construction materials, systems, methods, and industry standards
  • Familiarity with the design and project delivery process
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and problem-solving mindset
  • Proficiency in standard business software (word processing, spreadsheets, file-sharing, etc.)

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and insurable under company policy
  • Clean background: no history of violent crime, drug offenses within 5 years, theft, fraud, or unethical behavior
  • Physically capable of safely navigating construction sites
