Hoffmann Group USA is looking for a Logistics Manager for the Knoxville, TN warehouse. The ideal candidate will lead and provide strategic direction for the overall supply chain and logistics management. The manager supervises the warehouse, inventory control, material handling, and transportation.
Essential Functions:
- Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
- Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management.
- Negotiate transportation rates and services.
- Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes, or carriers.
- Monitor product import and export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.
- Create policies or procedures for logistics activities.
- Establish or monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems.
- Review global, national, or regional transportation or logistics reports for ways to improve efficiency or minimize the environmental impact of logistics activities.
- Train and supervise shipping department personnel in roles or responsibilities regarding global logistics strategies.
- Direct distribution center operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives.
Qualifications:
- Proven working experience as a logistics manager.
- Record of successful distribution and logistics management.
- Ability to lead and manage staff.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
- BS in Business Administration, Transportation and Logistics, or Supply Chain.
