What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Compliance Manager position at Hogan Transportation?
Communicate and motivate personnel to meet our company’s high standards. Set departmental and individual goals for personnel and the path for the goals to be executed. Introduce changes to processes and procedures based on local, state and federal agency requirements and communicate with staff and other affected departments. Monitor staff hours and schedules per business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and adjust as needed to the fuel tax, permit and licensing processes & procedures to maintain compliance with local, state and federal agencies
- Create routing of new unit equipment documents to department personnel
- Manage customer’s quarterly fuel/mileage tax invoicing
- Approve department’s credit card statements
- Onboarding, training, and development of new and existing department personnel
- Professional communication with internal departments, vendors, and customers regularly in person, via phone, video conferencing, chat and/or email.
- Staff payroll approval and timecard corrections as needed
- Other duties as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required,
- 5-10 years of IRP, IFTA, and fuel/mileage tax experience
- 5-10 years of management experience in a transportation or truck rental/leasing company
- AS400 experience is preferred
- Multiple IRP plating jurisdictions/states experience preferred
- Multiple titling states experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in all Word and Excel
