The Role

The Senior Director, HOKA Retail for North America, will be responsible for driving the strategic direction, growth, and profitability of our retail operations across the North America marketplace. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the retail landscape, particularly in the performance footwear industry, and a passion for delivering exceptional consumer experiences. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and innovative leader with a proven track record of successfully managing large and fast-growing retail networks and achieving significant business results.

Your Impact

The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive retail strategy for North America that aligns with corporate, global brand and marketplace objectives. Identify growth opportunities, including new store openings, market expansions, and e-commerce integration.
  • Oversee the financial performance of the North America retail division, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Drive profitability through effective cost management, pricing strategies, and operational efficiencies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing retail management team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Implement training and development programs to enhance team capabilities and career progression.
  • Champion a customer-centric approach across all retail operations. Ensure that the brand's values and commitment to quality are reflected in every customer interaction. Drive initiatives to enhance the in-store experience and strengthen customer loyalty.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities. Leverage insights to inform strategic decisions and introduce innovative solutions that set the HOKA brand apart in the marketplace.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including operations, marketing, product development, supply chain, and e-commerce, to ensure seamless execution of retail initiatives. Align retail strategies with broader company goals and objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of store operations, including visual merchandising, inventory management, staff scheduling, and compliance. Ensure operational excellence and consistency across all locations.
  • Lead the planning and execution of new store openings in key markets. Collaborate with real estate, design, and construction teams to ensure timely and successful launches.

Who You Are

  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and profitability in a multi-store environment.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L management.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a large, diverse team.
  • In-depth knowledge of the North American retail market and consumer behavior.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and omnichannel environment.
  • Passion for the performance footwear industry and a deep understanding of the HOKA brand’s ethos and target market.

We’d love to hear from people with

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field
  • 10 years of retail leadership experience, with a focus on the performance footwear industry.

$235,000 - $250,000

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
