ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible for providing leadership, guidance and direction for plant operations and ensuring sustainable performance aligned with business objectives, values and guiding behaviours while delivering on business commitments.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
- Proactively represent LafargeHolcim with the community, customers and various governmental agencies.
- Function as a driver for change management in plant organization.
- Propose and execute capital expenditures maximizing value to the operation and consistent with a low cost strategy; while maintaining accountability for proposed ‘value added’ return.
- Utilize performance management processes and tools to manage performance and development of direct reports and their teams; play an active role in development of future leaders.
- Deliver on operational and cost results.
- Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality production
- Implement strategies consistent with the company’s vision and business plan.
- Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree Additional Education Preferred: Master's degreeField of Study Preferred: Engineering (mechanical, chemical, industrial)Required Work Experience: 7-10 yearsRequired Computer and Software Skills: SAP, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Travel Requirements: 20%
Additional requirements:
- 7-10 years combined management-level and cement industry experience. Knowledge of ISO standards and certification process. Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
