We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician/receptionist to join our team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and manage front desk operations, including appointment scheduling and check-in procedures.
- Assist optometrists during eye examinations by performing preliminary tests and gathering patient history.
- Measure and record vital signs as needed, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain and update medical records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Provide education to patients regarding eye health, contact lens care, and eyewear options.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and perform tests related to vision health, such as visual acuity assessments.
- Ensure a clean and organized clinic environment, including sterilization of instruments and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with the ophthalmology team to ensure seamless patient care throughout their visit.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in an optometry or ophthalmology practice.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the eye and vision system.
