- Be the central point of contact for management of Contractor Furnished Equipment and/or Owner Furnished Equipment Quality for a major Data Center Program.
- Manage a team of Equipment QA/QC Coordinators who will be dedicated to projects/programs to ensure equipment quality, offsite testing completion, and schedule expectations are met for each project.
- Develop/maintain the proper touch points with vendors/ integrators/ owners and onsite project teams to ensure equipment readiness and progress goals are met.
- Travel as necessary to vendor/ integrator facilities to ensure scopes of work are on target as well as for any offsite testing or commissioning activities.
- Review submittals, owner standards, specifications and contract documents for familiarity and to ensure proper coordination with the onsite commissioning team.
- Review Factory Witness Testing (FWT) / Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) scripts and provide comments as necessary.
- Attend and host Factory Witness Testing (FWT) / Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). Create and provide formal reporting and action items upon completion.
- Oversee component verification documentation. Verify fabrication of equipment and ensure QA/QC oversight and compliance with specifications and owner standards.
- Review L2 inspections which include, First of a Kind (FOAK)mock-ups, set in place inspections, pre-energization inspection, and final clean inspections.
- Assist in start-up as needed and help resolve issues that may arise.
- Manage vendor equipment reports for shipment approval prior to each equipment delivery and shipment deviation requests for equipment that is not completed prior to shipment.
- Support review of tracking information for design, shop drawings, material procurement, supply chain management, fabrication, testing and packaging required to ship all equipment, including weekly reports including all required steps and tracking for the fabrication
- Create, document, and distribute all checklists, inspections, completion lists, punch lists, and reports.
- Coordinate with Site QA/QC/MEP Team Lead and trade partners for inspection paperwork, manage and train the team on software tools required to manage and execute the quality program.
- Ensure proper coordination regarding schedule, logistics, and any other considerations necessary. Implement appropriate tools, processes, and procedures to ensure successful implementation.
- Communicate key quality issues with onsite management teams and develop corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks.
- Facilitate communication and integration meetings between the vendors and the on-site EC/MC/BAS/EPMS contractors
- Either a B.S. in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or related Construction/Engineering degree with the following:
- 7 years’ experience in an MEP Equipment QA/QC or Electrical Construction
- High School Diploma with the following:
- 10 years’ experience in MEP Equipment QA/QC or Electrical Construction
- Willingness to relocate to Atlanta, GA
- Travel to Manufacturing Facilities Required
- Familiarity with a broad range of Mission Critical Data Center Equipment
- Familiarity with Modular Construction and/or equipment integration
- Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and technical equipment submittals including identification of errors or redundancies for resolution by others.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs and evaluate new ideas with internal and external partners.
