The Equipment Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales and promoting feedlot-related equipment and solutions to livestock operations.
This role involves working closely with feedlot managers, ranchers, and agribusiness owners to understand their needs and recommend the best equipment solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in agricultural sales, livestock handling, and a understanding of feedlot operations.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with feedlot operators, ranchers, and agribusinesses.
- Identify potential customers and generate new business opportunities within the feedlot sector.
- Conduct on-site visits and consultations to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate equipment solutions.
- Present and demonstrate equipment, highlighting key benefits, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and financing options to close sales and achieve revenue targets.
Customer Service & Account Management
- Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after the sale.
- Assist customers with product selection, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with service teams to ensure proper equipment setup and maintenance support.
- Develop long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Market Research & Product Knowledge
- Stay up-to-date on feedlot industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Continuously educate customers on advancements in feedlot equipment, automation, and efficiency improvements.
- Monitor competitor activity and market pricing to adjust sales strategies as needed.
Operational & Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate sales records, customer databases, and activity reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to enhance sales efforts.
- Participate in trade shows, industry events, and dealer meetings to promote company products and services.
