What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foundation/Public Relations Director position at Holdrege Memorial Homes?
Position Summary:
The Foundation/Public Relations Director is a senior level administrative position. This individual will be responsible for the planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating the public relations program of Holdrege Memorial Homes. This individual will serve as Director of the Holdrege Memorial Homes Foundation and will be responsible for implementing, promoting, and administering all facility fund raising, endowment, and planned or deferred giving programs. This position will be responsible for the cultivating and soliciting of philanthropic donors. This individual will report directly to the Holdrege Memorial Homes Administrator and have a supportive role in program and service development. The individual hire for this position will serve as a member of the facility management team and work directly with the Foundation Operations Committee of our Board of Directors.

Applicants must possess a thorough knowledge of principles of effective communication, marketing, public relations, mass communication, advertising, and policy development. Applicants must be comfortable in approaching individuals, businesses and community leaders in an effort to develop business relationships. Individuals seeking this position must also be comfortable in soliciting philanthropic donors and conveying the benefits giving has on those served by the Holdrege Memorial Homes Foundation. Applicants must be able to assimilate information from a variety of sources, analyze information and make recommendations to the Administrator. Applicants shall possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Education and/or work experience in business, public relation, journalism, and marketing is preferred. Experience in grant writing, fund development, website design, and social networking may be helpful to the position.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
