Direct Support Professional Thursday 7p-7a, Friday 7p-7a, Saturday 3p-11p

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to individuals, promoting positive social interactions and community involvement.
• Observe and document client behavior, progress, and any changes in condition to ensure appropriate care is provided.
• Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
• Facilitate recreational activities that promote physical and mental engagement.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to monitor vital signs and assist in patient observation as needed.
• Lift and transfer clients safely while adhering to proper techniques to prevent injury.

Experience

• Previous experience working with children with developmental disabilities or in a group home setting is preferred.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
• Experience in similar healthcare environments is a plus.
• Strong observational skills and the ability to recognize changes in client behavior or health status are essential.
• A compassionate demeanor with excellent communication skills is necessary for building rapport with clients and their families.

Pay: $15.77 - $18.77 per hour

• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Overnight shift
• Weekends as needed
