Each season of celebrated occasions we turn our Connections Bar and Grill into a heavily themed temporary pop up bar and grill. The restaurant is heavily themed to match the occasion we are celebrating. We have special cocktail and pub menus that accommodate the occasion we are celebrating.
Summary
We are seeking highly skilled Servers and Bartenders to join our team at our heavily themed pop up bar and grill located inside Holiday Inn Texarkana Arkansas Convention Center. In this role, you will be responsible for serving guests and or crafting beverages and providing excellent customer service in our hotel bar. Your contributions will enhance the guest experience and uphold our commitment to hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of foods, serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard and special recipes.
- Provide excellent customer service, engaging with guests and ensuring the food and drink quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, patio area, server stations and/or bar area, including inventory management.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Assist in setting up for banquets or special events as needed.
- Collaborate with all staff to ensure timely service and quality of drink and food orders.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations regarding food and beverage service. This includes a food handlers certificate. If you do not have one then you will be required to get a food handlers certificate.
- Stay informed about menu items, specials, and promotions to effectively communicate with guests.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a server or bartender in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of drink recipes and mixology techniques and/or knowledge of being a professional server.
- Excellent hospitality skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to operate cash registers and POS systems efficiently.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Experience in food service is required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- This position will be available during the time our special occasion pop up bar is available.
- Must have solid work related references
This position has an hourly pay of $12 per hour plus tips.
