DUTIES:
· Checks-in/out guests efficiently: assigns rooms while accommodating special requests and properly provides cash handling, traveler’s check, personal check, credit card and direct billing processing.
· Maintains accurate house and personal cash balances at all times. Properly processes hotel paid-outs, personal check cashing, room/account adjustments, etc.
· Maintains up-to-date knowledge of hotel’s room status by location, type and rates: hotel’s facilities, meetings, services, and amenities; and activities, special events and attractions in the surrounding communities.
· Uses suggestive selling and telephone etiquette techniques to sell rooms, and promote hotel services and amenities. Provides guest services including switchboard, message, and fax distribution.
· Facilitates room availability by notifying housekeeping of all early check-ins, late checkouts, special requests, and part-day rooms. Notifies maintenance immediately of guestroom maintenance requirements. Monitors to ensure completion.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school graduate. Formal/vocation administrative training or one or more years equivalent hospitality/customer service experience preferred.
· Basic knowledge of customer service/sales techniques. Ability to quickly grasp and effectively utilize unique computer software programs, interpret data, and operate office equipment. Ability to perform basic business math functions without error.
· Basic familiarity with computer operations, word processing, and cash/credit card handling procedures.
Must agree to and pass background check as a condition of employment.
· Ability to:
· Effectively communicate orally, through reading and writing.
· Maintain self in a clean, professional business-like appearance/manner.
· Make good business decisions/judgments in pressure situations.
· Work independently without constant supervision.
· Predictably work scheduled shifts; be consistently punctual and dependable.
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS: Sustained standing and walking. Frequent oral interaction with diverse guests. Constant use of telephone, word processing and office administration equipment. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds unassisted.

Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
