What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Holiday Inn Express and Suites Greenville Airport?
Qualifications
- Be able to receive work task and complete them in a timely manner
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills able to interact with many types of personalities
- Must display very good organization and time management skills
- Must be able to frequently kneel, reach, crawl, and twist torso as needed to accomplish required tasks
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 20 pounds without assistance
- To always maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance
- MUST be reliable and able to work day shift by 9 AM weekends and holidays as needed
Responsibilities
- Smile, acknowledge, and greet guests while in guest rooms, front of the house, or any other area of the hotel
- Complete Housekeeping Board provided by your Supervisor Daily
- Remove Soiled Linens, towels, bedspreads and Blankets from Each assigned room
- Provide Fresh Linens, towels and Bedspreads for each assigned room
- Neatly Make Beds and Stock rooms with Amenities according to policy
- Disinfect all Surfaces and high touch areas (Door Knobs, Switches, TV Remote ect.)
- Clean Mirrors, glass and dust Pictures and other objects in the room
- vacuum floors and remove trash
- Check Coffee and Toiletry supplies in the room, restocking in accordance to IHG policy
- Sign in/out Hotel tools such as Keys and Walkie Talky
- Prepare/Break Down Cleaning Cart before and after Every Shift
- Knock and Announce Self before Entering a room; Return at a later time if room is occupied
- Handling all customer concerns and queries
- Notify Supervisor of any damage or strong odor in a room to be taken care of in a timely manner
- Ensuring the safety and security of all guests and notify supervisor of suspicious activity
- Notify Supervisor of any found personal items that a guest may have lost or forgotten when they checked out
- Move Cribs that are left in room to the proper Storage
- Communicate with Supervisor once Room is Complete
- Maintain all training requirements as set forth by General Manager
- Always wear a provided uniform and name tag on the property
- Notify Maintenance department of needed Repairs
- Document any necessary minor repairs and/or replacements of room furniture, fixtures, and equipment to include television sets, light fixtures, and follow through with proper department
- All other assigned duties
