Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Breakfast Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests during breakfast hours. You will ensure that the breakfast area is clean, well-stocked, and inviting, while also preparing and presenting food items in accordance with our standards. Your ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff will be essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
- Set up and replenish the breakfast buffet with a variety of food items, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, and equipment.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items and provide recommendations as needed.
- Handle food safely and adhere to all health regulations regarding food handling.
- Operate kitchen equipment efficiently and safely, including cash registers for any transactions.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of breakfast items.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
- Ensure compliance with catering standards during special events or large group breakfasts.
Skills
- Strong background in food handling and food service practices.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Experience with catering services is a plus.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or Aloha POS systems is preferred but not required.
- Culinary skills that demonstrate an understanding of food preparation techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
