Job Summary:
The Night Auditor at Holiday Inn Express plays a key role in maintaining smooth overnight operations, delivering exceptional guest service, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This role also supports the early morning team by assisting with breakfast preparation to ensure guests start their day on a positive note. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and passionate about hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reconciliation
- Complete nightly accounting procedures, including balancing cash drawers and verifying credit card transactions.
- Reconcile and prepare daily financial reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ensure all financial records are accurate and aligned with hotel policies.
2. Guest Service Excellence
- Provide courteous and professional service to guests checking in or out during overnight hours.
- Promptly address and resolve guest inquiries, concerns, and requests.
- Maintain accurate records of guest information and interactions.
3. Front Desk Operations
- Manage front desk responsibilities such as check-ins, check-outs, and room assignments.
- Keep the reservation system current and communicate any changes to relevant departments.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
4. Safety and Security
- Monitor the premises and respond appropriately to any emergencies or incidents.
- Follow and enforce all safety and security procedures to ensure guest and staff well-being.
5. Administrative Support
- Complete required reports and documentation, including nightly logs and guest records.
- Communicate important updates and shift information to the morning team for a seamless transition.
6. Breakfast Preparation Support
- Assist with early morning breakfast setup and preparation, ensuring cleanliness and proper food presentation.
- Restock breakfast items and help maintain a clean, inviting dining area for guests.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards during all preparation and handling.
7. Interdepartmental Communication
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to support overall operations.
- Share essential information with incoming shifts and ensure a smooth handover.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in hospitality.
- Previous experience in front desk, night audit, or food service preferred.
- Basic understanding of hotel operations.
- Comfortable using hotel management software and computer systems.
- Strong communication, customer service, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during overnight hours.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry light to moderate items.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Required to work at least 3 nights.
