What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Auditor position at Holiday Inn Express and Suites?
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Night Auditor to assist guests with their overnight requests and balance accounts from the day shift. Night Auditor responsibilities include checking in guests, handling their requests and taking reservations. The Night Auditor also reconciles all accounts, processes invoices. Ultimately, you will provide excellent customer service to every guests and keep the front desk and accounting operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by checking in guests, answering phone calls, and taking reservations.
- Address guest complaints, requests, and emergencies with professionalism and efficiency.
- Process invoices, post checks to vendors, and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
- Reconcile daily financial accounts, ensuring accuracy in records and transactions.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or out-of-balance accounts.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reports for future audits.
- Stay in constant communication with other hotel departments through internal logs to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in forecasting future reservations and occupancy levels to optimize the hotel’s operations.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Experience with accounting and facilities management software (experience with Opera a plus)
- Strong math skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
- Excellent problem-solving skills and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Availability to work overnight
- BS in accounting, finance or relevant field
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
