Job Description:
The job of the Breakfast Bar Attendant serves our hotel guests during morning breakfast service. They will also be completing food prep, replenishing the buffet as needed and necessary, and doing clean up in the kitchen and Breakfast Bar. You will be under the direction of the Breakfast Bar Manager.
Job Duties:
- IMPRESS GUESTS! Greet all guests with a friendly welcome and a smile. Respond promptly to guest questions, complaints and requests.
- Greet the guest within 3 minutes of being seated.
- Understand all amenities of our Holiday Inn Express hotel.
- Take ownership of the customer’s needs, do whatever it takes to please the guest.
- Assist the Breakfast Bar Manager in execution of cleanliness and brand standard expectations.
- Make sure the buffet area and breakfast area is clean and well organized.
- Maintain a clean, pleasant and professional image to the guest and wear the proper uniform at all times.
- Set up the buffet area for breakfast according to brand layout.
- Replenish food and beverage as needed, pick up trash and wipe up spills.
- Replenish all breakfast supplies as needed and necessary.
- Complete any special cleaning projects as assigned.
- Clean up any breakage or accidents immediately.
- Follow and execute all side work duties.
- Assist in ordering products and keeping inventory. Communicate with Management on any out of stock items.
- Provide assistance to other team members to contribute to the smooth operation of the department & hotel.
- Perform all duties as required and other tasks as assigned while following good food handling habits and safe work practices.
Abilities:
- Flexibility in job and ability to provide coverage for employees. This includes working the breakfast bar 5:30AM to 10:30AM shift or 7a-11a shift
- Ability to follow all Breakfast Bar standard operating procedures and understand the team member handbook.
- Express facts, ideas, and messages to others in a clear, concise, and organized manner that is easily understood.
- Anticipate the needs of guests; display an open, friendly, courteous, and approachable demeanor to guests; proactively engage guests to provide quality service; maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward guest service.
It's a PLUS if…
- You have hospitality industry/customer service experience!
- You have kitchen experience!

- Ability to stand and be active during entire shift.

- MUST be willing to have a flexible schedule, weekends are a MUST on a regular basis, ability to work AM shifts and Holidays as needed.

Compensation:
$16.00 per hour - scheduled for 20-30 hours per week.
