Beau's Grille Now Hiring Host (located inside the DoubleTree by Hilton Akron/Fairlawn across from Summit Mall)
Must be available Sundays 7:30am to 1:30pm and Wednesdays 6:30am to 2:30pm additional shifts available in the summer
Summary
Greet guests warmly as they arrive in the restaurant. Seat promptly and engage in light conversation. Answer telephone calls, make reservations, take room service orders, etc. Know the menu, properly describe food items, upsell, explain hours of operation, etc. Assist the servers or bussers when busy; may expedite food orders. Cash out tickets, balance draw, complete and balance reports at end of shift. Manage challenging situations with tact and diplomacy, offering solutions. Communicate professionally and maintain a positive, cheerful attitude during busy and slow periods.
Skills/Requirements
- Customer service experience required
- Prior food service experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task; manage in person contact and telephone calls
- Genuine enjoyment in helping others
- Excellent verbal and nonverbal skills; smile
- Must be available weekends and holidays
- Earliest start time is 6:15am
